Join Indigenous Australian musician, writer, composer and storyteller Nardi Simpson on a creative journey through the language, landscape, stories and sounds of her Yuwaalaraay homeland in the freshwater floodplain of northwest New South Wales. In this workshop, Nardi will share stories, knowledge, instruments (possum skin and kangaroo drums and clapsticks) and teachings from her community and elders. She will even make you sing in the Yuwaalaraay language! If you like interactive, interdisciplinary experiences, this workshop is for you.
Nardi Simpson is a Yuwaalaray writer, musician, composer and educator from the freshwater plains of northwest New South Wales. Nardi is a founding member of the indigenous folk duo Stiff Gins and has been performing nationally and internationally for twenty years.
