Sonic Bike Opera HUMAN COMMODITY – WARE MENSCH

Sonic Bike Opera HUMAN COMMODITY – WARE MENSCH

Starting point // Industriesalon

26. November + 27. November

11:00 – 20:00 Uhr

HUMAN COMMODITY – WARE MENSCH is the new Sonic Bike Opera by sound artist and composer Kaffe Matthews, which elicits sounds and stories from the streets and buildings of south-east Berlin on the trail of forced labor during the Nazi era. On Sonic Bikes — equipped with speakers and a GPS tracking audio system — you can explore the route from Oberschöneweide to Plänterwald and back along the Spree and hear the districts with different ears! Migrant youth will share their dreams for the future, older residents will share facts about forced labor sites along the route, and the sound of the city will merge with Matthew’s unique composition, which you’ll experience on the Sonic Bikes. It’s not about driving somewhere, but being able to hear and change the environment while driving.

The 45 minute tour can be done alone or in a group.

Tickets // 12,00 € (erm. 8,00 €)
The ticket is a day ticket and is valid for all concerts and events of the festival day.
